E-Learning

Topic 2: a web-based E-Learning environment

One of the areas we have identified on which we want to expand our Portal’s feature-set, is the inclusion of an integrated e-learning environment. As the Portal has a notion of the Role of a User (in a Trial or Project), it would be possible to identify a number of different Training modules.
Like a training module for Site personnel, or a training module for local monitors. Your online training modules could be grouped together in each of these modules. The Survey module could then be used to ‘exam’ if a person has acquired a sufficient knowledge level. The internal audit trail of the Portal would be able to track and trace the training history as well as record the ‘exam’ result.
Although this method could also be used for internal training course, it would be most cost-effective for training of remote personnel, like site personnel or local monitors located in different countries.

Requirement

A requirement would be that your Training materials are digitally available, either as documents, or preferably as training videos.

Patient Participation

Study Portal is looking for co-design partners who want to enhance Patient participation in a Clinical Trial, like:

  • - use online tools for patient communication during a study
  • - use a Patient forum on study related issues
  • - increase Patient accrual through online information access
  • - reduce Patient dropout through online study feedback
